Crater Lake National Park

Our Crater Lake National Park experience was quite different than we expected due to snow, lots and lots of it, in mid June! Honestly, we were so stunned at first that we just unloaded the RV and drove straight through the park to a nearby city and sat in a hot spring all day.

Our first look at Crater Lake, well at least first attempted look!

We found a waterfall on our way back to the Park.

Day two we actually enjoyed got out and enjoyed the Park. We went on a couple of hikes, sipped on hot chocolate, and listened to A LOT of whining about being cold.

Proof of the whininess level ;)

View from Godfrey Glen Trail

Crater Lake is stunning!

Garfield Peak Trail was beautiful and a little treacherous. Even in June half the trail was closed due to snow!

On the drive home we stopped and took a little (warmer) hike to Prospect Falls.

Overall we had a beautiful cozy weekend. It definitely broke the record books for us with the snow in June. You don't find that in Florida!
